GameCityNights Nottingham was a blast! It was a real buzz being able to get out to a venue and showcase ReversE to a ton of fantastic developers and aspiring developers too 🙂 The game was met with really positive feedback, with some improvement points suggested for the UI, Possible theming and grouping of levels, an easier build up into the game, and possibly more visual hints. Altogether the reviews have been positive so far and the fun game play is definitely there! This gives me the inspiration to continue to polish ReversE even further in the next few months!
December 17th is my Birthday. Usually a time when people gift me presents for the achievement of gaining another level of old! However this year I have decided to give back! For the next 24 hours ReversE will be free to download for Windows, MacOSX and Linux! Birthdays are usually (supposedly) a day of happiness and joy! Well today I want to spread that joy with you all by delivering you what I hope will be a fantastic gift and something very special!
The Giveaway has now ended! Thank you so much to everyone who checked it out, for all the support I received in the last 24 hours and for being amazingly awesome!
Today I have made available a version of ReversE for Linux. It works upto the same level Windows/Mac versions of the game work and is also available to download at the same time as the Windows and Mac version for 69p!
The game should work on all modern versions of Linux according to Unity technologies! When you finish purchasing the game you will be able to download the Mac/Windows and Linux versions of the game!
If you have any problems with the Linux version of the game please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me on here through PM or send an email to AlloydGD@hotmail.co.uk
Thought I would write a quick update seeing as its the small hours of the morning and I am still running on high energy! I submitted the first Demo build that I targeted for release today to IndieDB and now I am just waiting for the authorization process to tick over! In the mean time here is the page link http://www.indiedb.com/games/reverse/downloads/reverse-demo Keep spamming that refresh button! 😀
I have officially posted the information for ReversE up onto IndieDB now so the game can reach a wider audience before the launch which is TBD but should be very soon. The link to IndieDB page is http://www.indiedb.com/games/reverse
Please check it out and if you like it spread the message around to your friends and friends of friends if possible!
I have made several updates to the game in the last few days including once again overhauling the UI slightly, so now it is sleeker and does the job more efficiently, Changed the order of how the main menu > game works so the Menus are all in one level and the games are in their own contained levels. I’ve also completed a few more new levels in the game and added the Spike traps in fully with code. They only require some sound now.
I have also been very busy creating an OST for the game for accompaniment. Not everyone is going to be as fussed about breaking times in the game to complete levels so for a player who fancies more of a chillout and roll around in the game, I have aimed to compose some ambient/electronic pieces for the game. I am currently housing the OST for the game on my Soundcloud page ReversE set
I have 27 levels currently completed and in a playable state, I am aiming to have around 35 for release (need to pull my finger out and crunch!) and also have a few updates in the pipeline post release as well. There will definitely be some more free content made for the game once released I can confirm that!
